Music Embedding Service Provider ProductsVerance’s embedding software is available on a per seat or site license basis. Verance currently offers the software for both Mac and DOS computing platforms. These tools are only available to Verance Watermark Technology Licensees or direct affiliates of licensees.

Because embedding software is only available to Verance Watermark Technology Licensees, Verance offers three types of Embedding Service Provider licenses depending on the potential licensees business and relationship to the content owner.

Content Owner

Generally larger content owners that can perform watermark-embedding services themselves, in-house, with no additional licensing fee
Must purchase the embedding software application on a per seat or site license basis (this assumes one physical location) for each legal entity of the corporation that takes advantage of it
A quarterly written statement of account describing all tracks embedded is required

Content Owner Affiliate

A subsidiary or affiliate company that embeds for its parent company who is an Unlimited Tracks package holder
Not required to sign a separate Verance Watermarking Technology License if the company is an “Affiliate” or “Permitted Sub Licensee” of the content provider company
May be required to sign a confidentiality agreement
A quarterly written statement of account describing all tracks embedded is required

Independent Embedding Service Provider

Hired by a content owner to handle watermark embedding services
May only embed content for an established Content Owner / Verance Watermarking Technology Licensee and must purchase the watermarking embedding application from Verance
A quarterly written statement of account describing all tracks embedded is required

Quarterly Statements of AccountsEmbedding Service Providers are required to provide Verance with a Quarterly Statement of Account which details the tracks embedded. Verance provides an easy-to-use Quarterly Statement of Account spreadsheet to facilitate this process. This information becomes the property of Verance and is used solely for billing and tax reporting purposes. (Note: Unlimited Track package purchasers and their affiliated or contracted Embedding Service Providers are excluded from this requirement.)
