Detectors for Music Consumer Product Providers and their Component ManufacturersConsumer Product Providers integrate Verance’s detector technology within their DVD-Audio, SD-Audio, and SDMI portable devices to enable detection of audio tracks previously embedded with Verance’s watermark. Typically, the watermark will carry copy protection instructions such as “one copy”, “no copy” or “unlimited copy” which the detector will interpret and communicate to the record and playback control software.

Optimized ImplementationsIn order to speed time to market for device makers, Verance offers a line of Optimized Implementation products featuring Verance’s detection software precompiled and optimized on three of the world’s most popular microprocessor platforms. If your DVD-Audio or SDMI player operates on the Texas Instruments DSP, ARM or PC platform, these products have the potential to save you significant amounts of engineering development time and money. These solutions also enable the lowest resource constraint on the device’s processor overall—lower MIPS and memory. All products in this set include an ANSI C Application Programming Interface (API) to enable effective implementation.

Reference ImplementationsFor device makers using platforms for which a Verance Optimized Implementation is not available, the Verance Reference Implementation product line features the minimum software components required to enable watermark detection within a digital audio device. These products are available in both a DVD-Audio specification and an SDMI specification. Licensees also have an additional option for source code or object code. All products in this set include an Application Programming Interface (API) to enable effective integration.
